DESALTING AND DEHYDRATION IN ONE PROCESS
Inorganic salts in crude oil are carried mainly in the entrained water phase. Wash water and, where required, demulsifier transfer the salts into water; a high-voltage field then enlarges fine droplets so gravity can separate them from the oil.
The package can be configured around crude properties, throughput, downstream feed requirements, site utilities, and control boundaries.

TWO-STAGE ELECTRIC DESALTING PROCESS
A typical process includes crude heating, wash-water and demulsifier dosing, controlled mixing, primary electrostatic coalescence, secondary polishing, and brine discharge or recycle.
Water ratio, mixing intensity, electric-field arrangement, and operating window are determined from crude properties, unit load, and downstream targets.
